The League of Women Voters of Jasper County participated in the Newton Fourth of July Parade. Members participating included Bonnie Pitz, Fran Henderson,Laura Engel, Carol Kramer, Ruth and Rich Campbell. Holding the banner was Linda Wormley and Jane Odland, President of LWV of Jasper County. Jack and Joey Schwenn (grandsons of Bonnie Pitz) also participated, handing out Jasper County Political Directories, Payday Loan information, and Voting Information Cards."
